How to Play Aeroplane Chess

Objective

The primary goal in Aeroplane Chess is to be the first player to move all four of your pieces from your starting area to the center of the board.

Setup

• Players: 2 to 4 players
  
• Board: A cross-shaped board divided into four colored sections (red, yellow, green, blue)
  
• Pieces: Each player has four pieces of the same color
  
• Dice: One six-sided

Gameplay

1. Starting the Game: Players take turns rolling the die. To move a piece out of the starting area, a player must roll a five or six.
   
2. Moving Pieces: On subsequent turns, players move their pieces clockwise around the board according to the number rolled.
   
3. Rolling a Six: Rolling a six allows the player to roll again. However, if a player rolls three consecutive sixes, the piece moved by the first two sixes must return to the starting area.
   
4. Capturing Opponent's Pieces: If a player's piece lands on a space occupied by an opponent's piece, the opponent's piece is sent back to their starting area.
   
5. Landing on Own Color: Landing on a space of your own color allows you to jump four spaces ahead.
   
6. Using Shortcuts: Some versions of the game include shortcut paths that allow players to move ahead more quickly.

Winning the Game

The first player to move all four of their pieces to the center of the board wins the game.
